Fuck Yeah, Cleveland!

The Indians at the trade deadline (more or less).

If you missed the news, the Indians traded top prospects Drew Pomeranz and Alex White as well as Joe Gardner and Matt McBride for Rockies pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez. It’s a gamble, but it shows that the Tribe is all in, and I’m not going to cry over lost prospects when we want to win now and for the next couple of years.

Cleveland later traded INF Orlando Cabrera for San Francisco’s AAA OF Thomas Neal, hitting .293 this season.

This news comes days after a trade for the Cub’s Kosuke Fukudome.

The Indians may not be finished yet, Cleveland has been mentioned in many possible deals for OFs, most notably San Diego’s Ryan Ludwick.

In my opinion, if the Tribe secures a good right handed bat, this team is miles beyond what it was a week ago. There is no reason we shouldn’t be able to keep pace with Detroit for the rest of the season.

Fukudome > Kearns or Buck

Jimenez > Fausto, Talbot or Gomez

Let’s just leave it at that.
